摘要
This article aims to investigate how PDE (Educational Development Programme) teachers from public primary and secondary schools in Londrina and other cities in northern Parana State use the history textbook in practical applications within the classroom environment. These teachers undergo a type of continuous training - PDE - offered by the Parana State Secretary of Education (SEED) for a twoyear period, under the supervision of professors from the Department of History at the Parana State University in Londrina. This research was conducted through the use of an investigative questionnaire during a course that was part of the PDE activities in November 2008. Our main concern was to understand the difficulties faced by teachers when using the textbook in the classroom, as well as the knowledge needed to overcome having only that particular textbook as a pedagogical support day-by-day.
