摘要
This paper presents extensive experimental verification of the duct attenuation model of Scott for homogeneous absorbent wall linings and also of the model of Kurze and Ver for non-isotropic linings. To date, there has been little published experimental information to substantiate these theories; the little there has been seems to indicate increasingly poor agreement with theory for ducts of airway widths greater than about 100 mm. The work reported in this paper demonstrates that for isotropic duct linings Scott's theory provides good agreement with test data, and that the theory of Kurze and Ver, with modifications, is necessary to describe correctly the attenuation of ducts lined with non-isotropic linings.
