FUNCTION OF THE IMAGINATION FROM THE VIEWPOINT OF THE SYSTEM APPROACH

The analysis of "imaginative" tasks traditionally associated with the function of imagination and, in particular, constructing a verbal image by means of the functional-and-system approach, provides for correlating the differences and contradictions inherent in existing views on the psychological nature of imagination. As a consequence, the latter may be viewed as "controlling" systemformation function in a creative process.
