摘要
The possibilities of maximizing the pin in the spatial processing of frequency-coherent multimode signals in the horizontal plane in an underwater sound channel are investigated theoretically. The method of determining an orthogonal basis of amplitude-phase distributions in mode space is used to analyze the efficiency of linear and quadratic signal processing in an isotropic noise field as a function of the number of elements in the array, the scale of intermodal correlations, and the mutual orthogonality of modes in the receiving aperture. The maximum processing gains are estimated; the resulting estimates can bc applied to the operation of a receiving array in specific signal-noise situations encountered in ocean waveguides.
