GUIDELINES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PRODUCT RECALL PROCEDURES

The purpose of the document is to provide CAFTA member companies with a set of principles and guidelines for them to consider in developing their own product recall procedures, plus an outline guide as to the likely content of a product recall plan. The purpose is not to attempt to write a standard detailed procedure for member companies, for the reason that no single procedure will be suitable for all circumstances. It is intended to encourage members to develop their own procedures and to lodge these with the NFA and Health (etc) Authorities.
