摘要
In the social imaginary of the Internet has emerged a new generation comprised of boys and girls born in an environment essentially digital. The term "digital native" includes a large population group closely related to ICT. For them, the Internet is a core area of socialization, which determines how they live and interact with the world. But what are the features that really define? Are really a homogeneous group? Have powers and abilities with behavior similar? What is the real border between the natives and digital immigrants? Are these appropriate terms to define this new social reality? Drawing on the major studies to date, the article makes a metaphorical exercise to rethink the features of this universe ( our Mare Nostrum Digital) with the purpose of limiting, to interpret and shed light on this important phenomenon of our day.
