摘要
Activated carbons from Eucaliptus globulus chips and peach stones were obtained. The activating agents, temperature and time of gasification reaction were varied in order to obtain activated carbons with different burn-off and therefore with Various textural acid adsorption properties. Steam and carbon dioxide were used as activating agents. The activated carbon was characterized by nitrogen adsorption at 77 K, iodine and methylene blue index, chemical analysis and SEM. The gasification rate was higher when Eucaliptus globulus was used as precursor. This is due to the function of the inorganic contents and their porosity. The apparent surface area increases with the burn-off and their values are higher for peach stone activated carbon. The steam activation gives activated carbon with higher development of mesoporosity at the same burn-off and gasification rate.
