摘要
This article summarizes the pharmacologic principles necessary to rationally understand and use sedatives and opioids for the treatment of agitation, delirium, and pain relief in critically ill patients. Benzodiazepines, barbiturates, ketamine, etomidate, propofol, and neuroleptics are all reviewed in detail. In addition, a rational approach to the use of opioid analgesics is presented.
