The European Union, in the road toward a Community of Constitutional Law

In this work it is approached, in the first place, a summary of the main steps in the process of European integration, underlining the most outstanding aspects from the point of view of the Constitutional Law. The autor stops especially in the analysis of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, and later on in the frustrated process of ratification of the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe. The author suggests a series of alternative so that it can continue being advanced in the integration, and it sustains that Europe is already a Community of Constitutional Law.
