摘要
The sturcture of poly(oxy-2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) (PPE) was studied by H-1 NMR spectroscopic microanalysis. Several model compounds were prepared in advance in order to compare their NMR spectroscopy to that of PPE. As a result, PPE had a repetitive unit of 2,6-dimetylphenol in the main which is synthesized by head-to-tail porimerization. The structure made by Fries type rearrangement which was generally observed in PPE was not observed. Dibutylamino radical was detected in the polymer structure and their H-1 NMR signals were observed in the range of 1.3 ppm to 2.3 ppm. The amine structure was thought to be introduced to the polymer in the polymerization.
