The practice of student on emphasis in sport management of degree in physical education of Universidad de Antioquia

Purpose: characterize the practice of physical education student on sport management emphasis of the University of Antioquia. Method: eight active students of emphasis in sport management of degree in physical education of University of Antioquia and their respective cooperators have participated in this study. Results: the activities that the students are doing in their practice, are showing, in higher tendency a mismatch with their training and the pursued aim, also different elements related to the performance of those functions are not clear enough; finding in them some divided considerations, although in areas such as resource there is agreement that it has the necessary conditions. Consistently, demanded skills in the practical reality suggest a disconnect with the professional training and the field of sports management. Varied perceptions are presented about the different elements of the process, showing flaws on which should work and successes to replicate. Conclusion: this practice space, endowed with great educational value, currently shows a high level of confusion and contradiction for the student on emphasis in sport management of degree in physical education of University of Antioquia, because it is presented in isolation from his/her specific training and area of interest to specialize.
