A generalized iterative method with Chebyshev polynomials for problems whose spectrum lies on two disjoint intervals of the real axis and the mean-optimal Richardson's method with preconditioning are described. The results of numerical experiments are given for a two-dimensional elliptic boundary-value problem of semiconductor theory.
