Temperature dependence of the Hall coefficient (RH) of the Nd1+xBa2−xCu3O7+y system for 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.5 was measured in a wide temperature range. The anomalous 1/T dependence of RH for NdBa2Cu3O7−y is suppressed as Tc, is depressed. RH shows a decreasing trend with lowering temperature for samples with moderate Tc, after making a broad maximum around 120 K, while it is almost constant at low temperatures for samples with lower Tc. The difference in the temperature dependence of RH at low temperatures is discussed in comparison with the behavior of the magnetoresistance. © 1990, Elsevier Science Publishers B.V. (North-Holland).
