ON THE APPLICATION OF FOURIER-TRANSFORM-BASED METHODS TO THE ANALYSIS OF ALPHA-PARTICLE SPECTRA

摘要：
The application of methods based on the Fourier Transform to the analysis of alpha-particle spectra measured with semiconductor detectors is discussed. Two techniques, smoothing and deconvolution, are reviewed. Numerically-simulated and real spectra are analyzed to determine the optimal operating conditions.
