The following article will approach the complexity of the translation from French to Spanish of the book Un long dimanche de fiancailles by Sebastien Japrisot. We will try to unravel the translation difficulties of this work and we will analyze the reception problems posed by the original work and its results in the translated work. Furthermore, we will study the transfers and sociocultural references in both works and we will try to draw all the practical issues found in the original work.
