THE CRYSTALLIZATION KINETICS OF AMORPHOUS FE40NI40B20 MEASURED BY SEVERAL PHYSICAL-PROPERTIES

摘要
To obtain detailed information on the crystallization kinetics in amorphous Fe40Ni40B20 samples of this glass were crystallized in isothermal annealing treatments, during which a number of physical properties were measured. Changes in Young's modulus, the electrical resistivity and the length of the samples develop in time according to Johnson-Mehl-Avrami kinetics with comparable sets of parameters. However, the changes in internal energy, measured in an isothermal DSC experiment, follow JMA kinetics with a different parameter set. Light microscopy and X-ray diffraction were used as more direct methods to observe phase transformations. © 1990.
