摘要
In this study, field and laboratory tests were conducted to investigate the strength properties and variance of cementtreated ground, constructed with dredged soils mixed with a small amount of cement by the pneumatic flow mixing method, which has been recently developed in Japan. In the paper an outline of the pneumatic flow mixing system is first presented first. Then various factors causing strength variance of the cement-treated ground are described. It is found that the cement/water ratio of the cement-treated soils, which was monitored and controlled during their production, was stable. The effect of mixing adequacy of the soil/cement mixture and that of nonhomogeneity of the dredged soils on the strength variance is discussed. Finally an effective measure to reduce the strength variance is described.
