The author analyzes modern American historiography of the USA Communist Party. The American historiogrRepina L.P., ed. aphy of Communism and the Left is marked by revisionistic character. The American historiography of Communism develops as an interdisciplinary project. The historians in the USA gave up "great narratives" in history writing. They also treat skeptically the "general history" of American Communism. American historians actively use intellectual history, history of ideas, and regional history methods.
