IMPLEMENTATION OF FFT ALGORITHMS ON DSP MULTIPROCESSOR SYSTEMS

Real time tasks make - opposite an off-line analysis (post-process) or an analysis of stationary signals (in-process) - essential higher demands for calculation speed of signal processing algorithms including FFT. To increase the calculation power there are on principle two possibilities. The first possibility is the development of more powerful processors, the second one is parallel processing for instance basing on digital signal processors (DSP). Investigations about algorithmic decompositions of several FFT algorithms are presented. A simulation of the multiprocessor system estimates calculation times and discloses narrows.
