摘要
In this paper, we review the basic concepts of structural stability theory and show its application to multimachine power systems. Specifically we establish a connection between structural stability and bifurcation theory. We examine the effect of nonlinear loads as well as different sizes of induction motor loads on the structural stability limits. Detailed generator models are used in the study throughout. We conclude that in studying structural stability, load modeling is a crucial factor and needs more research.
