摘要
Radio-frequency catheter ablation is the preferred therapy of patients with supraventricular arrhythmias especially: atrioventricular nodal reciprocating tachycardia, preexcitation syndrome, atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. Urgent catheter ablation should be indicated in case of symptomatic arrhythmias with hemodynamic intolerance. In patients with ventricular arrhythmia and structural heart disease the role of ablation is to reduce the amount of cardioverter-defibrillator discharges.
