Youth, work and modes of cooperation for an ethics of hospitality

The article presents a discussion on the training of youths and ways of working in enterprises of selective collection and recycling in the city of Canoas, State of Rio Grande do Sul. Inicalmente presents the theoretical framework for the demarcation of the theme of the youths (PAIS, 2003) contemporary world, which understands the need to assume the condition (MELUCCI, 2002) and the youth situation (ABAD, 2002) analysis as markers. Subsequently, it is an approach of working modes where young people are enrolled and it is present some of the understandings of the subjects in relation to the work developed in the project, an alternative against the exploitation of capitalist modes of working. Finally, we discuss the possible emergence of an ethic of hospitality (DERRIDA, 2003) as a way of sociability forward to today's complex environmental dilemmas.
