摘要:
Impulsive tidal acceleration of a beam of ultrarelativistic particles is studied in the 'weak' gravitational field of a rotating mass. The rotation of the mass can have a significant tidal influence on the deformations of the beam; this effect could be comparable to the tidal effect of the mass of the source if the beam is near the stationary limit of an extreme Kerr black hole. In certain situations, the gravitomagnetic tidal influence can enhance or hinder the usual gravitoelectric effect.
