摘要
A mathematical model has been developed to evaluate the performance of an earth-air tunnel used for space cooling. The two parameters which are sufficient to determine the cooling capacity of the system have been defined. At the required room temperature and environmental conditions, the parameters have been optimized for maximum heat flux removal from the room by the system. Numerical calculations have been made to obtain the optimum value of these parameters for different environmental and thermal load conditions.
