摘要
The syntheses of two new tris-phosphine cyclooctadiene (COD) iridium complexes are reported. In the first, [Ir(COD)(PMe3)3]Cl.0.5H2O, the geometry about iridium is square pyramidal. In the second, [Ir(COD)(tripod)][BF4] [tripod = 1,1,1-tris(diphenylphosphinomethyl)ethane], the geometry about iridium is trigonal bipyramidal. Both complexes are fluxional with very low activation barriers for rearrangement. These complexes are compared with other five-coordinate COD complexes reported in the literature.
