摘要：

The Italian parliament voted in February 2004 an extremely restrictive statute law concerning the medically assisted procreation. The adoption of this law was the subject of violent discussions marked by "transversal" oppositions between the left and the right, between lay people and Catholics and between male and female members of Parliament. But what is the content of this statute law which has been among others things, qualified as unjust and cruel? And what are the possible solutions for its improvement?
