摘要
For the first time an interaction has been studied experimentally between two linearly and orthogonally polarized modes in a waveguide CO2 laser emitting due to a separate vibration-rotational transition. A stable double-mode laser action has been obtained under the variation of the intermode distance from 0.3 to 140 MHz; the largest width of this region amounted to 180 MHz.
