摘要：

This article is meant to encourage a deeper reflection within the academic study of international relations (IR) in Latin America. In the discipline of IR, there are several, broadly accepted conclusions but when contrasted with theoretical advances and/or some methodologies - such as economic models and game theory - must at least be discussed. The analysis presented here deals with the conclusions regarding the eventual ascent of the BM:CS countries.
