THE CONFIDENCE-INTERVAL OF THE THERMODYNAMIC QUANTITIES IN POLYNOMIAL REPRESENTATIONS

The confidence intervals of polynomial representations of thermodynamic excess quantities are given. The computer program using FORTRAN 77 was tested by experimental data of three binary systems. The results have shown that thermodynamically adapted power series represent, together with their confidence interval thermodynamic properties of binary systems expediently. Besides that, the confidence intervals could be regarded as a criterion to determine the most favourable degree of the power series.
