摘要：
A study on the effect of two pesticides, viz molinate and carbofuran, on growth and nitrogen fixation by Azolla pinnata was carried out under greenhouse conditions. Molinate reduced growth and nitrogenase activity of Azolla but increased its chlorophyll content, but carbofuran did not affect the growth of Azolla. The chlorophyll content and nitrogenase activity in Azolla increased significantly at higher concentrations of carbofuran.
