摘要
Taiwan's new Public Radio Paging network has more than 800,000 subscribers and is scheduled to grow to above 2 million in a couple of years. It uses the latest network technology and infrastructure and can be considered an extension of the public telephone network. The author describes the development of modem wide area paging systems and exemplifies by referring to the Ericsson system recently installed in Taiwan.
