The pedagogical use of ICTs in Primary and Secondary Education in the Canary Islands

摘要
This article presents some results regarding to the use of ICT (Information and communication technologies) in three nursery and primary education centers and in two high schools in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. These centers are integrated in the Proyecto Medusa of the Canary Government that promotes the integration of ICT in the educational centers. The obtained figures have been the result of a qualitative study developed in the five centers. The aim consisted of identifying what kind of activities or learning tasks have been developed in the use of ICT, in what extent these activities are helping the acquisition of informational and digital abilities and how have they been organized and developed.In the visits made to the centers there have been interviews made and observations of the class situations in which learning activities are focus in the use of digital resources. This study is part of the investigation project of Information and Communication Technologies in the School System [Proyecto de Investigacion sobre Tecnologias de la Informacion y Comunicacion en el Sistema Escolar (TICSE)] of the La Lagunas University (Tenerife).
