摘要
In 1990, the nursing education curriculum in Japan was revised, with the Nursing for Adults course divided into Nursing for Adults and Nursing for the Elderly courses. The curriculum on nursing for the elderly is expanding, addressing the relationship of nursing to other professions as well as matters related to the implementation of dramatic new policies. Since the curriculum revisions were made, various educational institutions have put them into practice and found them effective. It is expected that in the future, through education in high schools, volunteer activities, and other such opportunities, the younger generation's understanding of the elderly will deepen and that through experiencing a life-style in which the elderly live at home and are supported by the work of various people, the interest of all generations in the everyday experiences of aging will increase.
