摘要：

The present paper intends to present prosodic evidences in favor of a Portuguese Language variety spoken in East Timor. Moreover, this paper will present also socio-historical background and Portuguese language contacts information throughout colonization period. The so called "peculiarities" here are seen as grammatical traces exclusive of this Portuguese variety.
