摘要
Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how the USA can maintain a position of leadership in a world of growing competition and constraints. Design/methodology/approach - The paper points out elements of both strength and correctable weakness of the USA in the foreseeable future. Findings - It was found that today's shortcomings are not overlooked, while the conditions of future national self-expression and external rivalry are considered in a world becoming smaller and more closely interacting by the day. Originality/value - The thrust of the essay is that of constructive self-criticism, sorely needed at a moment of serious self-doubt among the US population.
