Economics and politics, factors of change in classical Mayan society. An approach from the perspective of Calakmul

In the early twentieth century, when Mayan studies had done nothing more than start, unaware of the political, economic and military reality that prevailed in the Classic period. Today, thanks to archeology and epigraphy we can see the changes that occurred in Classic Maya society and the influence and the role played by these factors in its development.
