摘要
The efficient operation of UASB reactors treating complex soluble wastewater containing high protein and lipid content was attempted by mixing in different modes. Higher superficial flow rate increased COD removal efficiency, sludge retainment, and methane content in biogas not only in the start-up period but also at high volumetric loading rates. However, formation of sludge particles in larger size was hindered by increased upflow liquid velocity. © 1990 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
