摘要
Results of a theoretical study of two-beam acceleration of charged particles in a vacuum corrugated waveguide with perfectly conducting walls are presented. The case is considered when a high-current relativistic electron beam (REB) is in the Cherenkov synchronism with the first space harmonic of the electric field and the accelerated beam is in synchronism with the fundamental harmonic (two-resonance scheme of acceleration). Numerical methods are used to investigate the high-current beam excitation of the intense electromagnetic wave which accelerates the particles of the second beam. System parameters for the highest accelerating gradient are determined.
