摘要
This study analyzes the quality of life and supports in a sample of 38 institutionalized Chilean women with intellectual disabilities. The instruments used were the Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) and the Cross-cultural Quality of Life Indicators of Scale. We utilized internal consistency analyses of both instruments and their subscales, descriptive analyses, correlational and stepwise multiple regression analyses. The results show the existence of low support requirements not consistent with institutionalization status. Further, they confirm the existence of significant and negative associations between support needs and quality of life, and the possibility to predict quality of life based on support needs.
