School pictures in literature: some considerations

A literary look at the school enables us new angles of observation. In recent decades many things have changed significantly in the world, but the school seems to have maintained, with few exceptions, notions that result in the student boredom and lack of questioning. In this study, we will seek to realize such notions through the school prints contained in the following works: Emilia no Pais da Gramatica, by Monteiro Lobato; Alice no pais das maravilhas, by Lewis Carroll; Chove nos campos de Cachoeira, by Dalcidio Jurandir; Zeus ou a menina e os oculos, by Maria Lucia Medeiros and A professora de desenho e outras historias, by Marcelo Coelho.
