摘要
Background. Periodontitis is a multifactorial disease caused by plaque pathogens. Identification of bacteria from deep periodontal pockets helps with specific diagnosis and initiates appropriate farmacological treatment. Objectives. To evaluate quantitative and qualitative deep periodontal pockets in patients with advanced periodontal disease and to examine the relationship between diagnosis posed on the basis of clinical and microbiological composition of respondents pockets. Material and Methods. The study included 34 patients with advanced periodontitis, in which the assessment of microbiological deep periodontal pockets (PD > 4 mm) based on the current use of bacterial DNA with PCR kits using PET plus (MIP (R) Pharma, Germany). Results. The presence of closely related bacteria in the complexes as proposed by Socransky was confirmed. The relationship between the types of plaque periopathogens and the depth of subgingival pockets was demonstrated. The results do not disclose the relationship between the occurence of Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans and the clinical diagnosis of aggressive periodontitis. Conclusions. Analysis of composition of deep periodontal pockets, inhabited by diverse flora bacteria, leads to appropriate treatment.
