THE 11TH INTERNATIONAL-CONFERENCE ON CLOUDS AND PRECIPITATION

The Eleventh International Conference on Clouds and Precipitation, held in Montreal, Canada, 17-21 August 1992, brought together over 500 scientists engaged in research on a wide variety of topics related to clouds and precipitation. Papers were presented on cloud microphysics and dynamics, extratropical cyclones, severe storms, clouds and radiation, cloud chemistry, in situ and remote sensing, and the role of clouds and precipitation in weather forecasting, atmospheric general circulation, and climate. Some of the highlights of the conference are summarized in this review of the meeting.
