摘要：
This article seeks to be a contribution for the knowledge about the West Timor independence process history after the indonesian colonization, between 1975 and 1999, which tried to assimilate the timorese culture by politic and military repression. The main objective of this investigation, inside the "lusofonia" symbolic context, is to study how was realized the timorese people communication campaign for self-determination and its strategic importance to get the conflict solution and the identity national construction of West Timor.
