摘要
The first part of this paper describes Andres Bilbao conception of liberalism versus Keynesianism as variants of the economic theory that have inspired the economic policy of western countries during the 20th century. The political conditions that have allowed the viability of each option are highlighted, focusing on the transition to liberalism or economic orthodoxy since the 70' s. The second part places the discussion on a broader context, the establishment of economics as a grammar that articulates social relations in modern times and based on the work of Andres Bilbao on classical authors such as Smith, Marx and Weber.
