STUDIES OF THE ORGANIC SUPERCONDUCTOR KAPPA-(BEDT-TTF)2CU(SCN)2 USING GAS HELIUM PRESSURE

摘要
We report some properties of the organic superconductor kappa-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu(SCN)2. The pronounced resistance maximum around 100K is very sensitive to the pressure and so is to the synthesizing circumstances. In both cases the suppression of the resistance maximum accompanies with the suppression of T(c). A pressure of 1 kbar was enough to destroy it completely, the pressure coefficient of T(c), dT(c)/dP = -3.6K/kbar, is the largest of all organic superconductors studied. The larger is the resistance maximum, the lower is the temperature where it occurs and the higher is T(c). The resistance anisotropy (parallel to transverse ratio) does not show any anomaly across the resistance maximum but a clear anomaly around 60K.
