DIAGNOSIS OF THE DECISION MAKING PROCESS FOR THE SELECTION OF INVESTMENT PROJECTS IN METALMECANICS SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES SME

In the small and medium companies, the process of decision making for the project selection of investment presents particular characteristics, basically orientated only to considering the economic profitability of the same ones, which is not beneficial to evolve in the competed and included managerial world of today. To corroborate this, the present article shows the diagnosis made as part of an investigation ejecuted for the authors related of investment projects on which invert these companies, as well as of their process of decision making. The population was constituted by 9 managers of metalmecanics small and medium companies affiliated to the Association of Merchants and Manufacturers of Lagunillas (ACIL). There was applied to them an instrument of compilation of information, with answers of multiple selection. Among the obtained results it emphasizes that the analysis of the alternatives of investment is executed by internal personnel of the organization, and they are not considered elements as: risk of the investment, non-economic factors nor competitors for the final decision making; these are common characteristics in this kind of companies, with basically familiar structure. It is important that these companies consider including inside their decision making process these aspects, in order to be kept successfully in the changeable and complex managerial current environment.
