摘要
Demands for research involving humans are increasingly common in medical research. This fact must be accompanied by very specific guidelines to ensure the physical and moral integrity of those who are objects of scientific experimentation. The fundamental objective of this paper is to examine the mechanisms of control that involves research projects that use human as an object of experimentation in an attempt to show the procedures of protecting the rights and dignity of those. Therefore, it approaches the performance criteria of the systems of ethical review in an attempt to demonstrate the limits and possibilities of the Ethics Committee (CEP), through their performance in relation to its social responsibility and scientific.
