摘要
Although in the Ancient Rome the practicioners of magic were able to cause terror, pain and dispair to their victims, and to use somebody else's fear as a powerful ally, they also experimented dreads and anxieties in relation to their own magical performances and their consecuences. This contribution offers a study of the magician's fears, and deals with the topic of the complex relationship between fear and magic in the Ancient World.
