The horror movie have with the passion of fear a stunning aesthetic value. Our goal is to present a study on the passion of fear in horror cinema and, therefore, show some important points in the construction of the film genres, such as the settings of the course of the passion and the notion of contagion that spreads the enunciator in his enunciate. For this, we will serve the proposed theories about the passions and the contagion of French Semiotics. Such theories have as its object of study, the film chosen by us to represent a new twist with respect to the evolution of the genre: The Blair Witch Project, directed in 1999 by Mirick and Sanchez. Thus, we show that the vein of the genre, by the semiotic point of view, is founded on the routes of the passion of fear, from the relaxed tothe hypertensive, and the contagious propagationthat this effect sense lets in the enunciate.
