摘要
Background. In last decade a significant progress in methods of urinary system imaging has been observed. A relatively new diagnostic method is CT urography (uro-CT). Material and methods. The authors described the examples of application of CT urography to obtain correct diagnosis childrem with urinary tract abnormalities, Results. Paper presents 3 difficult diagnostically cases of patients with urinary tract pathology treated in the Department of Paediatric Surgery and Oncology Medical University of Lodz. The results of conventional imaging studies did not allow authors to draw firm conclusions about diagnosis. The final diagnosis was based on CT urography. Conclusions. CT urography is a useful method for evaluation of the urinary tract. Reducing radiation exposure from medical imaging induces a need to determine the role of uro-CT in the diagnosis of paediatric patients.
